I wanted to give you an update on my progression with my Chung Shi's that I bought from you just a few weeks ago. Never in my wildest dreams would I pay that much money for shoes. But…people do crazy things when they are desperate : )
For me…turns out it was the best investment I have made in many years.
I cannot believe how my pain just goes away when I wear them. The ONLY time that I do not have pain in my toe and foot now (from my hallux rigidus) is when I am wearing these shoes. Sometimes I'll wear them around the house rather than going barefoot because I love that experience of 'no pain'!
I have had compliments from folks on how cool they are…not that they look orthotic in nature at all. I just LOVE them. I hate it when I have to get dressed up because I can't wear them…and believe me I have been tempted!
Also…the hard plate that you recommended for my other shoes has saved all my other shoes from hitting the Goodwill box. I can actually wear some of my other shoes now without having excruciating pain all day in them by putting that plate in there. I am definitely going to let my foot doc know that he should be recommending these plates when I go in next time!!
I still have terrible pain when barefoot and at night…no real change there, but to actually get through the day without thinking about how much my foot hurts is a luxury that I have not had in many years.
