The benefit is designed to help those with diabetes access properly fitting footwear in order to decrease their risks for diabetic foot complications and amputations.

2. Medicare requires that the shoes and inserts be fitted and provided by a doctor, a pedorthist or another qualified individual. Bring your prescription or form into Foot Solutions and get ready for some comfortable, new shoes!
Properly fitting shoes and insoles should reduce pain and make you more comfortable, as well as help prevent future problems. The benefit covers up to 80% of the cost, while secondary insurance will often cover the remainder.
